SCHOOL BOARD VACANCY INFORMATION The Sharon City School District is accepting applications from Sharon residents, age 18 or older, to fill the current School Board vacancy.  Interested parties may complete an application by following the link on the District's homepage (www.sharonsd.org). Applications must be completed by 3:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022.  Public interviews will be held during the School Board meeting starting at 7:oo pm on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Educational Service Center, 215 Forker Boulevard, Sharon PA.  All applicants must be present at the meeting.

SHARON TIGER 2022-2 023 ELEMENTARY SEASON WRESTLING Our pre-season has begun! Open-mats are every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00-7:00 pm starting October 11 thru November 23 @ the Sharon High School Wrestling Room. This will be open to all wrestlers with two (beginning second year) or more years wrestling experience. All wrestlers must have shorts or sweatpants and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. A pair of sneakers “not worn outside" or wrestling shoes. Clothing for open-mats cannot have exposed zippers, clips, buttons, etc. which can hurt another wrestler. Sharon Elementary Wrestling Season sign-ups for K-6th Grade will be held on Wednesday, December 15 at 6 pm in the Lecture Room. First Practice of the Season for the intermediate and tournament wrestlers will be held on Monday, December 5th at 6-7:30 pm. First Practice of the Season for novice and beginner wrestlers will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 6-7:00 pm. To the wrestling room: A representative of the Wrestling Coaching Staff will be at the main doors of the Sharon High School at 5:45 and 6 pm. At 6 pm doors will be closed at the start of practice. Please do not arrive late. Head to the stairwell next to the gymnasium doors in the cafeteria. Descend the stair to the pool hallway, turn right. Straight ahead waits the wrestling room. 2022-2023 Sharon Elementary Boys Basketball Elementary League WHO: Boys in Grades 4, 5 & 6 Enrolled in the Sharon City School District WHAT: Elementary Basketball Program of the Sharon Boys Basketball Program WHEN: November 2, 2022 – January 23, 2023 WHERE: Sharon Elementary Schools (Case Ave., Musser & West Hill) COST: $20 per child – Covers Uniform Expense – CHECKS PAYABLE TO: Sharon Boys Basketball Boosters Dear Parents/ Guardian, Winter sports season is just around the corner & we wanted to inform you about our elementary basketball program for boys in grades four through six. The structure of the program will be the same as previous years & consists of 4 th , 5 th , & 6 th grade boys from all the elementary schools in Sharon City School District. All coaches will have successfully completed the same clearance check procedures of the teachers in the district. The focus of our league is instruction of fundamental basketball concepts, teamwork & skill development. Our practices provide all players the opportunity to improve from the beginning of the season to the end & each player will have the opportunity to execute their learned skills in game situations. While we keep score ; records our league focus is for the players to improve throughout the season. Based on experience, those players that adhere to this concept will unquestionably improve their skills on the court.
