While we are not yet prepared to roll-out school work for children to complete at home, we still wanted to share ideas on how to manage the Coronavirus school shutdown with your children.

A daily schedule can be an important tool to help you get through the Coronavirus (COVID-19) school shutdown.  A schedule gives children a sense of stability, comfort and establishes healthy habits.  If you are currently working from home, as many families are, a schedule also helps you manage the demands of work and the demands of your children’s attention as well.

Math, reading, art, puzzles, activities are all essential for a growing child.  Make sure that every day helps you child to learn and grow!

Here’s a fun idea for Creative Time:

Mo Willems invites YOU into his studio every day for his LUNCH DOODLE. Learners worldwide can draw, doodle and explore new ways of writing by visiting Mo’s studio virtually once a day for the next few weeks. Grab some paper and pencils, pens, or crayons and join Mo to explore ways of writing and making together

Visit https://www.kennedy-center.org/education/mo-willems for more details.

Please note that the schedule above is shared as example of what a family might include.  We encourage families to develop a schedule that best meet their needs.
