Good afternoon Sharon Schools families. We want to remind you that if you child(ren) will be changing their instructional plan for the second nine-weeks (in-person to virtual or virtual to in-person) you need to compete the online form that is found under the NEWS section of our website: www.sharonsd.org The form will need to be completed by Friday, October 23, 2020. The transition day for any students will be Monday, November 2, 2020.

The Sharon City School District has determined that we will be maintaining our current instructional program (in-person, virtual, cyber) for the second nine-week grading period. This period begins on Monday, November 2, 2020. Please carefully review the letter in the link that follows and should you choose to modify your child(ren)'s plan complete the required form prior to Friday, October 23, 2020.

Sharon City School District is proud to announce that SHS students Umneya Karakra and Shahed Kanan have been accepted into the Mercer County Career Center’s National Technical Honor Society and will be inducted into the Society on November 5, 2020. Congratulations to both students and their families.
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture has announced that the program which allows District's to provide free breakfast and lunch to all school students has now been extended through June 30, 2021.
The Sharon City School District is offering a free breakfast and free lunch to every child ages 0 to 18 years old for every school day. In-person students will use the cafeteria as usual, students attending virtually may pick up a full breakfast and lunch at Sharon High School between 9:15 - 9:45 am, or Case Ave. Elementary, West Hill Elementary or CM Musser Elementary between 9:30 – 10:00 am all free of charge! We encourage all families to take advantage of this great program.

Data collection for the 2020 US Census is ending tomorrow. As of today, well over 99.9% of housing units have been accounted for in the 2020 Census. Self-response and field data collection operations for the 2020 Census will conclude on October 15, 2020. If you have not yet completed your Census form please do so today! Census data provides for funding for the School District and City of Sharon!! 2020Census.gov
The Sharon City School District athletic venue capacity plans are posted on the News page of the district website under COVID 19 Update. All venue capacity numbers are effective beginning, Monday, October 12, 2020 and until further notice.

Given the current state guidelines, visiting fans will not be permitted at the Sharon vs. Hickory football game Friday, October 9th.
Tiger fans should note that WYTV is broadcasting the game as their Game of the Week. And the game will radio broadcast on 790 WPIC.
