Welcome to Sharon Middle School! 

 There is no other point in the educational career of a child where they experience as much growth, change, and development as they experience in middle school.  It is our pleasure to be able to support and teach your child as they embark on this journey.  Sharon Middle School is truly a special place, where three elementary schools become one school.  We strive to focus on the social, emotional, and educational development of your child in all that we do. 

 Our academic focus is on Mathematics, English, Reading, Science, and Social Studies.  We offer students opportunities to develop these skills through rigorous classroom instruction that is focused on growing the whole student.  Our students have the opportunity to explore electives in the areas of Music, Art, Health, Physical Education, Computers/Technology, and Foreign Language.  Our goal is for your child to leave middle school a better student, with a focus on what comes next in their educational career.

 Outside of the educational environment, we offer many extracurricular opportunities for our students.  For sports, we offer Cross Country, Football, Soccer, boys & girls Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Track, and girls Volleyball.  If you are looking to get involved in something other than sports, we offer Chess, Robotics, and Student Council.

 When we follow these expectations, we create an educational environment where all students can learn and learn in a safe and supportive environment.

 Communication is something we strive to achieve at Sharon Middle School.  Please know that the administration and teachers are always available to the parents of our students should any issues arise.  Our number one focus is supporting our students and parents.  Do not hesitate to reach out to our staff whenever you see fit.  Additionally, you can keep track of your student’s academic achievement through our parent portal with Synergy. 

 The goal for the 2023-24 school year is to help establish Sharon Middle School as its own entity.  Over the past several years, the Sharon Middle/High School has operated as one.  The goal of splitting the Middle School from the High School is to create a school that serves as a greater transitional school to support our students as they go from elementary school to middle school to high school.  While we still share the same building, we hope that by operating as our own school, we will be able to better support our students as they transition from elementary to middle.

 We know that middle school can be a challenging time, but it is a time of great development and growth as well.  Welcome to Sharon Middle School, it’s our honor to serve and support your child along this journey.
